Kovalam beach is India's second best beach (after Goa). It is situated near Thiruvananthapuram (also known as Trivandrum) in the Kerala state of India. On the beach is the Kovalam Juma Masjid, a mosque which the local fishermen use. The Kovalam beach is situated under the Leela Hotel.
