Rome & Naples

7 Sep 2008. Does everybody visiting Italy go to Rome and then Naples? I was wondering this, because just like our previous blog of the week, Kari chose Rome & Naples (which happens to be exactly where we are going on our upcoming trip too!). In Rome, she took the mandatory trip to the Colosseum, where she singled out the elevators for the dangerous wild animals as being the most interesting part. Apparently, Rome is quieter in August, so there weren't many long lines to stand in.

She was surprised that, other than its ceiling, the Sistine chapel is an unremarkable building.

Naples

Naples reminded Kari of Egypt, except crazier & messier. She singled out the Neopolitan pizza and the architecture of the city as being highlights.
